First 2 weeks of Summer!!!

It is summer. And I love love love it. The beautiful weather, gorgeous sunsets, smell of Russian olive trees....it is awesome.
Just a catch up on our first 2 weeks of Summer!

Common Scene at our house. He despises clothes and LOVES water!

Relay for Life 2012. This is Hallie, her cousin Tia, and Gav.

The best part of the relay....I bought like 5 tickets for this. I know everyone prob saw this quilt I won from the pic on Facebook. Isn't it beautiful?!  I never win anything....I  LOVE it...and to make it better, my friend Mandy made it!! (and no...the drawing wasn't rigged....she didn't even draw the ticket!)
It was this little angel's 1st birthday Saturday. I'm so sorry that I have the cutest nieces and nephew ever! Isn't she precious!

The sandals we got her. Aren't they cute!? This little beauty is a fashionista! I have never saw a 1 year old so excited about the clothes she got-even more than the toys!

Kayler watching the Venus Transit....yes...we are nerdy like that. The solar eclipse and transit were highly looked forward to! (and no he is not naked....just in undies)

Gavin had Scout Camp. He had SO much fun!

On a final note....we ALMOST have a house. The upstairs is completely finished....and the basement is well on it's way. I had heard it said before.....but they say if you can make it through building a house together as a couple you can make it through anything. Our relationship has not suffered in the slightest for this house. G.J. is and absolute angel in my life. It is me that is having the hard time......

I mention this not for pity but for journaling...but I have been so sick...and it is all brought on by stress as far as I know. (Stress from our house and Kayler is having a massive Autism relapse-not good) Last Friday I had a strange migraine. Saturday a stiff neck and dizzy feeling. Sunday morning I was miserable. I felt better to go to church (and I also couldn't get a sub for my class)...but we left early because every time I closed my eyes to pray and such I almost passed out. I came home and got in bed, and G.J. took the kids to the ranch to let me get some sleep. I got SO sick...seriously, it was awful. I was SO dizzy..nauseous...lost hearing...couldn't find my words...amongst other symptoms. So I called my friend Holly because she is the only person in this world besides my hubby and parents that I will allow to see me so awful. Besides that, she is going to school to be a RN-so I trusted her medical help. She took one look at me and insisted an ER visit. I guess the only bonus to going to the ER that sick is the quick manner in which they treat you. It was all a blur honestly at what they did...but I was there forever with low blood pressure, extreme dizziness/fainting feeling...and I just wanted to die. Long story short...they determined I had Vertigo which was caused by extreme stress (imagine that??.....) I followed up with Dr. Catten and he confirmed that I had an inner ear infection/vertigo and that yes....stress can cause it. There are really no meds to cure it....it just takes time. In my life....it is just awful timing. I have been in bed since Sunday....and had to rely on so much help and I just feel so helpless and that I am cheating my kids out of a fun summer and adding to the already overwhelming chores/tasks G.J. has.

None the less....it could be worse....and I will get better. Lets just pray it is sooner than later.
If anything...it has taught me to slow down-if that is possible with my personality. It has taught me how grateful I am for my health when I am feeling better/normal. It has solidified that GJ is the biggest blessing in my life. It has brought a greater appreciation for my friends, namely Holly-I am so grateful for her sacrifice being with me at the ER for SO long that night. She brought meals....prayed for me...everything. I am so grateful that my mom has taken care of me when I couldn't function the past few days.
I hope this was just a test....and that I will learn my lesson.

Other than that..... all is well... I am still so excited for our house, so excited for summer and all it's awesomeness......Life is good!

how exciting about your house. And take it easy girl. Hopefully things will get better once you're in your own home. I can't wait to see pics of it.

Oh to be a kid again! I miss the naked days :) Kayler is getting long!! I need to call ya and check how you're feeling! We had a busy weekend with Donny's parents. I was going to text and say thanks again for telling me about Red Canyon. We went up there again and it's sooo pretty! The overlook is amazing!

I love that he hates clothes, it's hilarious! I am so sorry you have been sick. It's sad that the mom can't even enjoy being sick because the entire time she just feels bad she isn't serving anyone else. Just enjoy the sick your kids and hubby will be just fine. What's a couple days of serving you when you will do it all year round?!
